Downtown Riverside’s Fashion District is Destination STYLE. The Fashion District Downtown Riverside Fall/Winter Show is a FREE event that will be held on Thursday, October 2nd on Main Street between University and Mission Inn Ave in downtown Riverside at 6 pm. Over 100 models will take the stage to showcase unique fashions and accessories that are available from retailers in downtown Riverside. The Show is being coordinated by Brian Hopper of The Vanity Haus- A Fashion Collective, Josh Roa St. Pierre, and presented by the Riverside Downtown Partnership.
Before and after the show, shoppers can visit downtown retailers along Main Street and the downtown core to purchase the latest fall and winter styles and accessories. Signage and a Fashion Show Line Up will be provided so that attendees can easily identify outfits and retailers. Event attendees can also take advantage of the red carpet photo opportunity at Mezcal Cantina Y Cocina located on the corner of Main Street and University Ave.
Hair and makeup services are provided by participating downtown salons and Riverside Community College Cosmetology Department. “The RCC Cosmetology partnership with Fashion District Downtown Riverside Shows is a tremendous benefit. The Fashion Shows have brought a new level of excitement to RCC students as they have engaged students in the real life aspects of working with show producers, fashion designers and the public,” says Peter Westbrook, RCC Cosmetology Program Director.
Past participating downtown retailers have included All That Glitters, American Werewolf Productions, Artisan Antique Alley, Crooks Skate Shop, Cruz Custom Tailors, DragonMarsh, Formal Image, House of Flames, House of Imports, How She Wore It, IAMME, Iliana Boutique, Kelly’s Boutique at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa, MP Couture, Mrs. Tiggy Winkles, Old Glory General Store, Recycle Fashion USA, Red Dolly Swimwear, Sultry Vamps Lolita Fashion, Toni Moore Clothing, The Parrott, The Vanity Haus, Trizzio, Wendie Monrroy on Main, and West of Tucson.
With its core of fashion retailers, our stores that sell fashion accessories, and our salons and spas, downtown Riverside has become the destination fashion district of the Inland Empire. So when you’re looking for that unique must-have outfit or accessory, downtown Riverside and its fashion district has to be your destination of choice.
