Zombie Crawl Returns to Downtown Riverside
RIVERSIDE, CA. RDP (Riverside Downtown Partnership) will once again host the Riverside Zombie Crawl in downtown
Riverside.
The Riverside Zombie Crawl will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 3pm to 9 pm on Main St between University and Mission Inn Ave. Make-up artists will be on hand to assist attendees unleash their inner zombie. DJ Albert Figueroa will provide entertainment. There will also be children’s Halloween crafts provided by DragonMarsh.
Josh Roa-St. Pierre will host zombie survivalist activities along with demonstrations on how to act like a zombie. Attendees will be asked to choose a side: Zombies versus survivalists. There will be a parade around the Civic Plaza at 5 pm so zombies and survivalists can demonstrate their skills.
Registration for the costume contest will begin at 3 pm through 5 pm with three different categories: Ages 2-8, 9-15, and 16 and up Participants will be judged on creativity, originality, and attention to theme. The contest will be judged by surprise community leaders so be hungry to win one of our first, second, and third place prizes.
RDP is partnering with Curves on Main and Lifestream to host a blood drive in the TW Parking Lot on the corner of Main St. and University Ave. from 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Participants are encouraged to make an appointment with Lifestream at 1-800-879-4484 ‘Don’t eat brains, donate blood.’
In conjunction with the City of Riverside and its Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, the showing of ‘Warm Bodies’ will take place on the large inflatable outdoor movie screen at 7 pm.
The undead community can keep the party going by visiting some of our local establishments for some zombie drink specials (at participating establishments).
