Downtown Riverside is known for its uniqueness and charm and The Parrott is no exception. The Parrott / T. Elliott Studio is located at 3598 Main Street across from the Historic Mission Inn in downtown Riverside. Raised in Riverside, Elliott’s flare of color, texture, hand crafted materials, and art provide the artistic eye a unique glimpse into her passion. After designing and manufacturing clothes all over the country, owner Terry Elliott envisioned her store to be “intermixed with fashion and art.” After opening in 2004, Elliott continued to expand her company and began incorporating art. When the space next door became available, she opened a studio.
Terry Elliott inspires creativity to those who venture into her world and interpretation of the arts. Long time friend and regular Jeanella Vennekotter often goes into The Parrott to check out what’s new. Vennekotter states “The uniqueness of her designs happen to coincide with my love of vintage 1930-1940 designs. Terry modifies them for women who appreciate this kind of style.”
Elliott’s vibrant and lively atmosphere includes a stunning array of accessories, jewelry, and worldly inspired clothing and furniture. “If you keep looking you always find something” is her motto. To further capture her flare for art and design, Elliott hosts a sidewalk sale on the last Saturday of the month that includes racks of clothes, discount vintage furniture, fabric and treasures.
